Job Summary
Academic Cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular imaging with expertise in echocardiography and cardiac MRI. Responsibilities include providing expert cardiovascular imaging care, inpatient and outpatient clinical duties, conducting/leading research with publications, pursuing funding opportunities, teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, developing educational programs (lectures/workshops), participating in curriculum development, and contributing to section goals and interdisciplinary committees. Appointment at Brown University at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, with collaboration between VA Providence Healthcare System and Brown University Health. Includes opportunities for professional development, CME support, potential recruitment/relocation incentives, and Education Debt Reduction Program participation.
Required Qualifications
- US citizenship (Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens).
- M.D. or D.O.
- Board certification in Cardiology.
- Full active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state.
- Completion of a residency in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
