Job Summary
Academic Cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular imaging at VA Providence Healthcare System in Providence, RI. Provides expert care in cardiovascular imaging including echocardiography and cardiac MRI; engages in inpatient/outpatient clinical duties; conducts research, pursues funding, and publishes findings; teaches and mentors students, residents, and fellows; develops educational programs and participates in curriculum development and interdisciplinary committees. Academic appointment at Brown University (Assistant or Associate Professor) based on experience. Includes recruitment/relocation incentives, CME reimbursement up to $1,100/year, competitive salary with performance bonuses, substantial paid time off (50-55 days/year), and Education Debt Reduction Program (loan repayment up to $200,000) with eligibility determined by the VA Education Loan Repayment Services program.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O.
- Board certification in Cardiology.
- Full active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state.
- Completion of a residency in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
