Job Summary
Academic cardiologist specialized in cardiovascular imaging (echocardiography, cardiac MRI) at VA Providence Healthcare System in Providence, RI, with potential academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor at Brown University. Responsibilities include expert cardiovascular-imaging clinical care (inpatient and outpatient), impactful research with publication plans, pursuing funding opportunities, and teaching/mentoring medical students, residents, fellows, and other trainees. Develop and deliver educational programs (lectures, workshops), participate in curriculum development and interdisciplinary committees, contribute to section goals and strategic planning. Qualifications include MD/DO, board certification in Cardiology, unrestricted medical license, and residency completion; US citizenship required. Preference for substantial imaging expertise, teaching/mentoring passion; position includes recruitment/relocation incentives, CME reimbursement, and generous paid time off.
Required Qualifications

- M.D. or D.O.
- Board certification in Cardiology
- Full active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state
