Job Summary
Conduct advanced structural echocardiographic imaging, including intraprocedural 2D/3D TEE guidance for TAVR, TEER, transcatheter mitral valve replacement, and other structural heart procedures. Provide comprehensive imaging support from pre-procedural planning through intraprocedural guidance in the cath lab and OR, and post-procedural follow-up. Interpret advanced echocardiography and participate in a multidisciplinary Structural Heart Team alongside interventional cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons. Teach fellows, residents, and medical students while engaging in clinical research, trials, and program development. Lead the Echocardiography Laboratory and shape future Cardiodiagnostic Lab services within the Division of Cardiology.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree (or equivalent)
- Board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Level III training in Echocardiography
- Dedicated Training/Expertise in Advanced Structural Cardiac Echocardiography and Intraprocedural Guidance
- Strong interest in academic medicine, education, innovation, and clinical excellence
- California residency
- Ability to work as a Level III trained cardiologist with expertise in Advanced Structural Echocardiography and Intraprocedural Guidance
Desired Qualifications
- Additional experience in cardiac CT or multimodality imaging
