Job Summary
Coordinate attendance and discipline initiatives to maintain a safe, disciplined learning environment. Analyze data trends to develop responsive prevention strategies and resolve student boundary issues. Assist in contacting parents and staff development on policy and legal requirements. Oversee the attendance process to ensure compliance with regulations while maintaining and updating disciplinary records. Respond to requests from teachers, administrators, and outside agencies regarding expulsion processes. Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays to move around campus facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Thorough knowledge of and ability to research Federal, State, and District laws, policies, procedures, and best practices regarding student discipline
- MS Office experience
- Ability to supervise and work effectively with departmental personnel
- Good decision-making and problem solving skills
- Ability to develop implement, monitor, and evaluate program goals and initiatives
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects
- Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs
- Ability to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time
- Ability to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc
- Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or related field
- Teaching experience
- Bilingual
