Job Summary
Build meaningful relationships with assigned students to guide them through their individual Dragon Pathway from onboarding to graduation. Provide proactive developmental advising for new and continuing students, including first-year, transfer, and international populations, while monitoring engagement and academic progress using data and early-alert notifications. Identify at-risk students and develop individualized success strategies to connect them with appropriate academic, financial, and campus resources. Collaborate across the University with faculty, departments, and partners to resolve barriers and support student retention and degree completion. Contribute to student success initiatives and assist with registration adjustments, course selection, and graduation planning. Teach DEC100 Engage as an adjunct faculty member and participate in continuous improvement efforts for the Dragon Pathways model.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous experience in Higher Education curriculum or academic advising
- Demonstrated ability to work with faculty and/or students in group and one-on-one situations
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and work in an environment with continuous interruptions
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Maintain a current understanding of the requirements for FERPA, Financial Aid, and Disability Services in a university setting
- An understanding of and commitment to Tiffin University's Vision, Mission, and Values
