Job Summary
HVAC Service Manager leads staff who install, repair and maintain heating and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial buildings. Manages scheduling, training, performance evaluations, customer and vendor communications, budgeting and profitability. Recruits and trains HVAC technicians, directs technicians in installation, start-up, operation, and service activities, ensures quality and safety standards, and develops maintenance/service contracts while coordinating with dispatch and other managers. Requires strong leadership, customer service, sales aptitude, and the ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics; must have a valid driver’s license and willingness to work non-standard hours.
Required Qualifications
- Five years HVAC Management related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Some post-high school education from college, trade school or military.
