Job Summary
Install, repair, and maintain ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units while assisting with building electrical systems and telecom cell-site maintenance under direct supervision. Read blueprints, measure reference points, and assemble components such as compressors and condensers using hand and power tools. Troubleshoot entire systems, start up units, test for leaks, and recharge refrigerants while ensuring all work meets relevant codes and standards. Maintain work documentation, assist in inventory control, and provide logistical support for office moves and company functions. Perform minor building repairs, painting, and site cleanliness duties while adhering to safety programs and union agreements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- US citizen or resident alien
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Resident of Guam for a period not less than three (3) consecutive years before entry into the program
- Mayor's Verification
- Ability to attend a minimum of two (2) classes per semester
- Ability to work forty (40) hours per week
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience in the installation and maintenance of commercial air conditioning and refrigeration units
