AC Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Repair and maintain heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential customers by diagnosing malfunctioning systems using test equipment and hand tools. Travel to job sites in the service area, coordinating with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate delays. Work nights or weekends on a rotating basis to service emergency needs. Maintain company vehicles, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and submitting monthly inspection and mileage logs. Generate customer invoices, obtain signatures, and document all installed equipment with serial numbers and test measurements. Calibrate systems to manufacturer recommendations and explain issues to customers. Participate in company training on latest industry technologies and report potential business opportunities to the Service Manager.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of related experience as an AC Maintenance Tech required in repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse HVAC service issues
- Must have clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to solve basic math problems
- Prolonged periods standing, crawling, climbing
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times
- Carry Ladders, work from heights, and crawl spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Degree or Trades School certification in related field preferred
