Job Summary
Execute assigned maintenance and inspection tasks, including servicing, lubrication, troubleshooting, repair, modifications, fueling, and de-fueling, adhering to quality standards and technical data. Complete aircraft maintenance paperwork and forms per RSM/QCM guidelines while collaborating with the Crew Chief and Project Supervisor to meet on-time, on-budget objectives. Maintain 5S housekeeping practices, focus on human factors for zero defects, and observe all safety policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. Shift schedules include Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or Monday through Thursday, 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM. Compensation ranges from $28 to $35 per hour with eligibility for tech leveling, overtime, shift differential, and relocation assistance. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Mechanic's Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant rating.
- APU Operation qualified.
- Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts and schematics.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must not be allergic to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and cleaning solvents.
- Work and bend in a confined workspace.
- Must have manual dexterity required for technician.
- Must be able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs.
- Knowledgeable and experienced using computers and aircraft software.
- Possess a working knowledge of the Federal Aviation Regulations and in particular, CFR parts 43, 91, and 145; and 135 as required
- Complete aircraft maintenance paperwork and forms in accordance with methods of execution outlined in the RSM/QCM
- Support Aircraft Crew Chief with the shift turnover requirements as outlined in the RSM/QCM
- Collaborate and cooperate with the Customer Project Supervisor to achieve the on time and on budget objectives of the work scope
- Maintain good housekeeping practices by utilizing a 5S system of sort, set in order, shine, standardize and sustain
- Focus on Human Factors in the workplace and drive to zero defects in workmanship and safety
- Observe and administer company rules and regulations and safety policy and standard operating procedures
- This position requires successful completion of the Melbourne Airport background check process.
Desired Qualifications
- FAA Inspection Authorization (Desired).
- Successful completion of at least one (1) Falcon Initial Maintenance School (Desired).
- Engine Run & Taxi qualified on business jet aircraft, preferably on Falcon aircraft (Desired).
