Job Summary
Operate mixing machines to blend ingredients into compounds for processing, verify product temperature, consistency, salt, and color, and ensure production rooms are sanitized before batches begin. Direct workers on tank cleaning, pump maintenance, and load cell calibration while collecting production paperwork for Batch Master. Immediately relay any product concerns to the Department Supervisor and perform Process Tech duties during their absence. Work the 2:30pm to 11:00pm shift with overtime based on production needs at $19.50/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer
- Lift 50 pounds 100-200 times during the shift
- Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
- Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Talk and hear
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction
- Commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals
- Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan
