Job Summary
Support and mentor Aboriginal young people by visiting schools and community groups to connect with them and help them find needed services. Build positive relationships with families, schools, and community organisations across the Peel Region while assisting individuals in reaching their goals. Maintain accurate records and improve programs to ensure ongoing support. This role requires a full WA Driver's Licence, current Working with Children Check, and National Police Clearance. Applicants must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander with a qualification in Youth Work or relevant experience, including at least two years working with young people.
Required Qualifications
- Be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person
- Have a qualification in Youth Work, Community Services or a similar field, or relevant experience
- Have at least 2 years' experience working with young people, preferably in mental health
- Hold a current / full WA Driver's Licence
- Hold a current Working with Children Check
- Hold or be able to obtain a National Police Clearance
- Complete a pre-employment health assessment
