Job Summary
Aboriginal Health Worker/Practitioner needed to join HealthWISE in Narrabri or Gunnedah. Build relationships with local Aboriginal communities, work with the HealthWISE multidisciplinary health care team, facilitate access to GPs, allied health and specialist care, promote cultural awareness, deliver health education, promotion and advocacy, and assist in organising community events. Provide direct client support including transport and appointment assistance; willingness to travel and work flexibly. Office locations include Narrabri or Gunnedah with in-person work arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
- Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care
- Willingness to work towards the relevant certificate
- Australian driver's licence
- Identified Position: Aboriginal applicant
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel and work flexibly when needed
