Job Summary
Able Seaman (AB) responsible for assist with deck operations, navigation, cargo handling, ballast handling, mooring, anchoring, and deck maintenance to ensure safe, secure, and environmentally compliant ship operations. Must comply with safety, environmental, and security procedures; proficient in seamanship, ropework (knots/splices), operation/maintenance of deck machinery, and capable of acting as a helmsman. Experience in bridge team functions, lookout duties, reporting, and maintaining deck condition. Knowledge of SOLAS, MARPOL, and flag state regulations is essential; ability to perform risk assessment and adhere to high standards of cosmetic maintenance and housekeeping. Onboard role with onsite operations in Riga, Latvia.
