Job Summary
Provide essential vessel and deck support onboard the survey vessel Royal Charter at the Port of Liverpool, working closely with the Master and survey team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. Responsibilities include carrying out deck duties, line handling, assisting with the deployment and recovery of survey equipment, maintaining high standards of housekeeping, and providing operational support to hydrographic survey activities. This fixed-term contract runs for four months, Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The role is integral to maintaining safe and effective vessel operations during periods of increased survey activity, planned absence cover, or additional operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
- previous experience as an Able Seafarer
- deck rating experience
- experience in a similar role on a small commercial vessel
- practical knowledge of deck operations
- knowledge of line handling
- knowledge of safe working practices
- valid ENG1 or ML5 medical certificate
