Job Summary
DOF Canada is seeking multiple Able Seafarers (AB) for Canadian Flagged Offshore Support Vessels. Responsibilities include preparation and painting of the vessel, securing deck cargo, loading and offloading, maintenance of deck machinery, and other deck-work tasks. Candidates must possess a Transport Canada Bridge Watch Rating Certificate of Competency and other relevant certifications, along with experience in offshore support vessel operations. A commitment to safety and teamwork is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Transport Canada Bridge Watch Rating Certificate of Competency
- STCW MED BS & PSC
- Ship Personnel with Designated Security Duties Certificate
- Marine Basic First Aid and CPR
- Valid Canadian Passport
- Valid Canadian Seafarers Medical
- Experience in OSV operations including Anchor Handling and Towing
- Ability to read, write, understand and speak English
Additional Requirements
- Priority will be given to Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and other Canadian permanent residents
- Candidates must undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Criminal background check may be required
