ABLE Education Support Specialist

ABLE Education Support Specialist assists in supervising and instructing students with disabilities across multiple settings under certified staff supervision. Responsibilities include implementing instructional activities, observing and documenting student progress, implementing behavioral plans designed by IEP teams for students with behavioral or emotional needs, maintaining instructional materials and confidential records, monitoring student safety across various environments (restrooms, playgrounds, hallways, cafeteria, buses, field trips, etc.), performing hygiene-related tasks, supporting social and language development activities, responding to emergencies to de-escalate situations, transporting students as directed, and providing general support to ensure students with special education needs can learn and participate effectively. The role involves working with adaptive equipment, assisting with daily living skills, and collaborating with certified staff to reinforce learning objectives and ensure student safety and progress.
