Job Summary
The Advanced Practice Professional will provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient maternal fetal medicine care, including consultation and complex care coordination with direct patient education. Proficiencies required include high-risk maternal and fetal care, fetal surveillance, and management of pregnancy-related medical conditions. A Masters Degree in relevant health fields and state licensure as an APC with prescriptive authority is mandatory. Certification with appropriate boards is also required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be proficient in high risk maternal, medical and fetal care
- fetal surveillance
- medications in pregnancy
- perinatal mental health care
- diabetes and hypertension in pregnancy and postpartum
- preconception consultation
- perinatal loss
- Masters Degree or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Certification with the American Midwifery Certification Board or WHNP-BC credential
- Must be licensed as an APC in the state of PA with prescriptive authority
