Job Summary
Assist clients with personal care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, feeding, and oral hygiene. Provide mobility support through ambulation, transferring, and positioning while performing light housekeeping tasks like laundry and meal preparation. Monitor physical and emotional health changes, document care via telephony, and maintain a safe living environment using appropriate PPE. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, read written plans of care, and communicate clearly. Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently are required unless exempt. Work at least two weekends monthly with bi-weekly pay ranging from $13.50 to $14.50 per hour. Complete required background checks and clearances before starting.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Completion of a formal certification program or ability to pass a skills/competency test
- Ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care
- Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
- Neat appearance and good personal hygiene
- Dependability, reliability, and sound judgment
- Friendly, patient, and respectful with a sincere interest in caring for others
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical caregiving tasks
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Must be able to work at least two weekends per month as scheduled
Desired Qualifications
- Valid driver's license, insured vehicle in good repair, and clean driving record
- Ability to travel independently to clients' homes (unless exempt)
