Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness in assigned facility areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, stripping, and burnishing floors. Perform dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and spot cleaning on walls and windows. Mix basic cleaning solutions and operate equipment including scrubbers, extractors, and walk-behind machines. Assess floors for service needs and notify supervisors of repair requirements. Requires minimum six months of floor care experience, ability to follow instructions, and valid security clearance. Schedule runs 10pm to 6:30am.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum six months previous floor care experience (buffing, waxing, stripping various types of floors)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to decipher/comprehend signs indicating danger
- Ability to obtain security clearance to work at assigned work site
- Covid-19 vaccinated as required by federal contract
Desired Qualifications
- One year or more of previous floor care and custodial experience
- Cleaning management or floor care certification
