Job Summary
Oversee daily portable ready-mix concrete plant operations, leading batching, production, quality control, and maintenance while coordinating schedules to meet customer demands. Manage inventory of cement, aggregate, and admixtures, troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime, and coordinate equipment setup and relocation at new project sites. Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards while building relationships with drivers, contractors, and project managers. Accurately batch materials according to mix designs, monitor production for consistent quality, and maintain detailed records. Perform routine equipment inspections and communicate production schedules with site personnel. Requires experience managing portable plants or operating computerized batching systems, with willingness to travel throughout West Texas.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing ready-mix concrete plants
- Strong understanding of concrete production, mix designs, and quality control
- Leadership experience supervising plant personnel
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in remote project environments
- Willingness to travel throughout West Texas and relocate between project sites as needed
- Experience operating a ready-mix batch plant
- Knowledge of batching software and computerized control systems
- Understanding of concrete materials and quality requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced construction environments
- Willingness to travel to project locations throughout West Texas
- Ready-mix concrete experience
