Job Summary

Support an engineering team through data acquisition and analysis for optimization projects, well records reviews, pipeline map reviews, lookback reviews, and ongoing operations and engineering support. Acquire hands-on experience with industry software programs including Wellview, Siteview, Accumap, and Tableau while gaining exposure to drilling, completions, well servicing, well abandonment, pipeline abandonment, and decommissioning activities. This 8-month term begins in January, May, or September 2027 for students in their 2nd through 4th year of an engineering degree program. A valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license is required. Join Canadian Natural's Development Operations team in Calgary to contribute to planning, execution, and optimization of operations related to well and pipeline abandonment.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an engineering degree program
  • Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Energy, and Petroleum/Oil & Gas disciplines
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent out of province license
  • Motivated, collaborative, organized, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
  • Safety sensitive position
