ABA Therapist – School / Home Program

Job Summary

Conduct structured observations and skill assessments to understand client needs under BCBA guidance. Implement individualized ABA treatment plans using prompting, shaping, and positive reinforcement during 1:1 therapy sessions focused on communication, social, and daily living skills. Collect real-time data on target behaviors and monitor progress to adjust programs as needed. Manage challenging behaviors using approved intervention plans and de-escalation strategies while coaching parents on skill generalization. Maintain a safe, structured environment and complete session documentation promptly in line with organizational policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, special education, behavior analysis or related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification such as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or equivalent ABA-specific credential
  • Experience working with autistic or developmentally delayed children
  • Current training in basic first aid and safety
  • Crisis-management training
  • Ability to explain goals and progress to families
  • Ability to coordinate with supervisors and other therapists
  • Ability to coach and support parents/caregivers on how to generalize skills at home and in the community
  • Ability to respond consistently to behaviors
  • Ability to maintain a safe, structured, engaging therapy environment
  • Ability to prepare, organize and use materials according to the plan
  • Ability to complete session notes, reports and documentation promptly
