Job Summary
Implement behavior modification and skill acquisition programs for children and adolescents, collecting data on sessions and recording detailed treatment notes. Report successes, challenges, and questions to the supervising BCBA while filing medical and crisis incident reports. Collaborate with families to foster client growth under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Assignments occur within 20–30 minutes of therapist location.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write English
- High school diploma
- Ability to work hands-on with children
Desired Qualifications
- one ABA-related course (ex. RBT training)
- Experience in education or autism-related field
- Knowledgeable about basic ABA terms
- Knowledgeable about data collection software
- Works collaboratively with coworkers and clients' families
- Follows supervisor directions and treatment plan, and asks questions when needed
- Patient and compassionate, especially while working with clients exhibiting challenging behaviors
- Goal-oriented and organized
- Consistent and reliable
- Acts professionally in a variety of environments
- Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and the needs of the client
