Job Summary
ABA Classroom Behavior Technician (Classroom Counselor) at May Institute School in Wilmington, MA. You will implement daily classroom schedules and individualized programs under supervision, provide instruction in academics, communication, self-care, and social skills, and collect and track data on student progress to support behavior programs. Use evidence-based behavior support strategies to manage challenging behaviors and partner with teachers, clinical staff, and families to support individualized treatment plans. You will also assist students with personal care and hygiene as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid and current U.S. driver’s license with at least 1 year of licensed driving experience
- Ability to work primarily in a classroom/school setting
- Experience with children or individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities
- Empathy, patience, and ability to support children with diverse communication and behavioral needs
