Job Summary
Conduct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) assessments using evidence-based techniques to determine program eligibility for families with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Schedule and perform multiple assessment appointments in homes and community settings, while reviewing treatment overviews and expectations with families. Produce final ABA assessment reports using approved templates, ensuring timely submission and confidentiality compliance via HIPAA guidelines. Document appointments and administrative time in the NPA system, track mileage, and maintain local travel for up to 50% of the time. Requires a Master's degree, BCBA certification, and 3-5 years of experience working with children with ASD.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in psychology/early childhood education/related field
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- current CPR certification
- 3-5 years' experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting or the equivalent years of training and experience to gain the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential responsibilities of the position
- Expertise in approaches to intervention and assessment based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis
- competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies
- Excellent clinical, administrative, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test
- Ability to provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer showing immunity
- Ability to travel locally with incumbent's own, reliable transportation
- maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards
- maintain auto insurance and vehicle registration
- Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation, per Easterseals of Southern California and/or program requirements
