Job Summary

Conduct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) assessments with families in home and community settings to determine program eligibility for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Schedule multiple appointments, review treatment overviews with families, and submit final reports using approved templates while tracking mileage and documenting time in NPA. Maintain participant confidentiality by purging files per HIPAA guidelines and stay current on assessment techniques through ongoing training. Requires BCBA certification, Master's degree, and 3-5 years of experience with ASD children. Paid $1,300 per completed assessment with up to 50% local travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in psychology/early childhood education/related field
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  • current CPR certification
  • 3-5 years' experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting or the equivalent years of training and experience to gain the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential responsibilities of the position
  • Expertise in approaches to intervention and assessment based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • competent in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies
  • Excellent clinical, administrative, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and to work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test
  • Ability to provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer showing immunity
  • Ability to travel locally with incumbent's own, reliable transportation
  • maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards
  • maintain auto insurance and vehicle registration
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation, per Easterseals of Southern California and/or program requirements
  • Ability to view computer monitor and read newsprint
