Job Summary
Program Assistant for the African & African American Studies program, responsible for the management, coordination, and administration of communications, courses, travel, purchasing, payroll, leave reporting, special events (including evenings and weekends), budgets, conferences, and course scheduling for face-to-face and Global Campus AAST courses; coordinates graduate assistant and faculty teaching contracts for fall, spring, summer, and intersession courses; processes applications for the AAST graduate certificate program, scholarships, and study abroad while coordinating program marketing; maintains website and social media content, updates and maintenance, and oversees events; supervises general office management, secretarial, and reception duties; regular attendance and initiative to meet program goals and foster positive working relationships.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma conferred by the time of appointment
- At least two years of administrative-related experience
