Job Summary
Prepare daily production schedules and capacity plans while tracking execution against backlog and forecasts. Adjust work order due dates to fill production capacity and meet customer needs, then interact daily with teams to execute plans and lead meetings as required. Manage vendor relationships by issuing purchase orders, adjusting safety stocks, and ensuring agreed-upon ship dates. Collaborate with accounting and inventory control to confirm reporting data accuracy and ensure adequate work order volume is released. Communicate lead time changes and potential shortages to customer service and other departments, while working with engineering to address barriers that could jeopardize new product rollouts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, a related field, or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills with ability to positively influence peers
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Ability to make sound and timely decisions in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Leadership skills; ability to direct, motivate and coordinate the work of others
- 3+ years of production planning, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or related work experience
- Experience developing production schedules and coordinating cross-functional activities
Desired Qualifications
- ERP or scheduling software knowledge
