Job Summary
AAA Associate Travel Agent with a focus on crafting unforgettable domestic and international travel experiences (cruises, land tours, flights, hotels). Leverage personal travel experiences to inspire clients, build long-term relationships, and drive sales while processing bookings, payments, and travel documentation in compliance with ARC/DOT/AAA policies. Educate clients on AAA benefits and travel perks, participate in promotional events and familiarization trips, and pursue required CTA certification within two years. Strong emphasis on customer service, travel systems proficiency, geography knowledge, and ongoing training for career growth toward Travel Advisor roles.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of retail experience
- 1 year of travel agent experience (or equivalent travel experience) preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with travel booking systems and web-based applications
- Knowledge of geography
- CTA designation required within two years of hire
- Experience with travel documentation and ARC/DOT compliance
- Satisfactory background checks (criminal, drug, and state/vendor-specific screenings)
- Ability to attend training and certification programs
- Ability to work a varied schedule including weekends as needed
- Team-oriented and customer-focused
