Job Summary
Lead Accounting for the Global Services Finance (GSF) accounting process area within DePuy Synthes, supporting close cycles, compliance, and internal controls. Drive timely accounting close, ensure SOX compliance, and maintain completeness and accuracy of actuals. Manage and mentor a team of associates and managers, act as a trusted business partner, recruit and develop process SMEs, and champion continuous improvement across global finance for a multinational organization. Responsibilities include leading accounting operations, coordinating with auditors, ensuring risk mitigation, and aligning with global procedures and regional responsibilities. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field, 10+ years of experience with at least 5 years in a management role in shared services/BPO, strong GAAP knowledge, and demonstrated leadership, process transformation, and cross-functional collaboration. Desired skills include CPA/CMA/MBA, digital automation, and fluency in English; travel up to 10-20% and flexibility for global coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s level degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience
- Minimum 5 years in Manager role in a Shared Service or BPO organization
- Experience leading large teams (30+ headcount)
- Track record of Continuous Improvement or organizational/process transformation
- Experience in Global Account to Report function of a multi-national company
- Experience in multiple migration of work
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to handle ambiguity and meet tight deadlines
- Open to new ideas and rapid change
- Willingness to travel up to 10-20%
