Job Summary
Senior Principal Systems Engineer for the development of the next generation avionics computing solutions. Responsibilities include capturing requirements, design, test cases, and test procedures per ARP-4754B; integrating, validating, and verifying system functionality in the lab; technical collaboration among systems, hardware, AEH and software design functions; assisting in resolving cross-domain technical problems; and travel 5-10% as needed. Requires strong experience in safety-critical computing and graphics systems, DO-178C/DO-254/ARP4754A/B, and creating comprehensive design documentation for aerospace avionics products.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.
- Experience with safety critical system, hardware, or software development (e.g. DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A/B).
- Experience authoring and validating requirements.
- Experience with avionics equipment certification processes (preferred).
- Experience developing automated tests and scripting.
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external customers.
