A/V Technician

Job Summary
Conduct rack construction, prepare cable pathways, and install network, audio, and video cabling using approved methods. Perform termination tests and labeling while ensuring physical completeness aligns with installation drawings. Maintain equipment inventory and dialogue with Shop and Project Manager to meet quality, performance, and schedule expectations. Uphold safety practices, including ladder and scaffolding use, and maintain a safety-minded approach across varied site conditions from boardrooms to new construction. Travel occasionally for overnight stays up to several weeks. Work hours vary by project, potentially including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Must be insurable
- Experience using hand tools of the A/V and electronic related trades
- Must be able to stand, kneel and crouch for long periods of time
- Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
- Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds
- Must be able to work in high places and in small cramped places
- Must be able to work in hot humid places as well as cold places
- Must be able to maintain the following attributes while under pressure from deadlines: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail
- Must be able to maintain a safety-minded approach to all activities
- Appropriate dress is required pursuant to the dress-code found within the Employee Handbook
- Occasionally, jobs may be outside of the local area requiring overnight travel and stays that could range from one night to several weeks away
- Some jobs may require weekend commitments
