Job Summary
A/V Technician (Part Time) at The Gathering Spot in Atlanta: set up and operate media equipment for live events, meeting with Event Coordinators to discuss audio, lighting, and video requirements, configuring venue layouts, laying electrical and sound cables, installing microphones, lights, video monitors, projectors, speakers, and cameras, conducting sound, visual, and performance quality checks, inspecting equipment for health and safety compliance, operating AV gear during events, troubleshooting to ensure smooth performances, maintaining strong client relations, and disassembling gear after events. Requires 2-3 years of AV experience in venues, in-depth knowledge of audio/video/lighting, IP networking familiarity, strong troubleshooting, and a Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; part-time on-site role in Atlanta, GA.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience as an AV technician in a hotel or live event venue or similar event space
- In-depth knowledge of sound, video, and lighting equipment for in-person and streaming events
- Familiarity with computers and IP networking systems
- Advanced knowledge of modern filming and sound mixing techniques
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- A keen eye for detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in sound engineering or a similar field strongly preferred
