A/V Engineering Manager

A/V Engineering Manager leads a small technical team to design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot audio-visual systems, including UC (Zoom/Teams), live events, and multimedia presentations. Responsibilities include coaching and guiding less-experienced professionals, collaborating with executives and clients to determine AV needs before events, transporting and setting up equipment, integrating AV systems with IT networks, defining system architecture, interpreting as-built drawings and project schedules, leading AV projects, testing for proper connections and signal quality, and staying current with evolving AV technologies. Requires experience with AV control systems (Crestron, Extron), Zoom/Teams expertise, IP-based AV solutions, cabling/electrical work, acoustics understanding, and travel to multiple sites. Strong emphasis on leadership, documentation, and proactive problem-solving during high-pressure situations.
