Job Summary
Diagnose and repair diesel tractors’ systems (engine, transmission, front axle, rear axle, suspension, electrical, air brakes and 5th wheel); use advanced hand tools, a rollaway toolbox, 1/2 drive impact and digital meters; document repairs on work orders. Operate the tractor to move it into the shop and park when repairs are complete. Provide customer service by addressing technical questions about the tractor. Maintain a clean work area, procure parts from the parts room, and perform other duties as assigned. Train less experienced mechanics using hands-on methods and answer technical questions as they arise.
