Job Summary
A&T Technician II at Moog’s Military Aircraft Group in Torrance, CA. You will perform precision assembly on complex production and repair actuators, adjust through shimming and mechanical adjustments, and conduct tests using hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic equipment. The role requires reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, diagnosing test failures, and ensuring assemblies meet current revision specifications. The position supports relocation assistance and offers a pathway to full-time employment from contract. The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), assembly experience, and the ability to obtain security clearance; FAA A&P is a plus and there is emphasis on quality, documentation, and adherence to acceptance test procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English
- Minimum 1 year or more of Assembly experience (mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical or electronic)
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience with precision measuring equipment (dial indicators, calipers and micrometers)
- Experience with diagnosing/troubleshooting mechanical components and test failures
- Basic computer program skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Possess or be able to obtain Security Clearance
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification is a plus
