Job Summary
The Tyson Foods Amarillo plant is hiring an A-Shift FSQA Technician 5 responsible for quality control inspections, accurate documentation of results, alerting personnel to adjust processes, identifying and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting findings to management. Requires 1+ year in the Fresh Meats industry or QA experience, strong communication, leadership to motivate hourly staff, problem-solving, math proficiency, ability to read product specifications, flexibility with hours, and the ability to perform the physical requirements of the job (including heavy lifting).
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of +1-year experience in the Fresh Meats industry or other QA type experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to accurately complete Tyson paperwork and demonstrate leadership to motivate hourly workforce
- Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in math and organizational abilities
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications accurately
- Ability to perform well under stress
- Flexibility to work in different locations and at various times as needed
- Heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more)
