A/R Specialist

Job Summary
Analyze lease documents and process miscellaneous billings including pro-rata rent, freight re-bills, and tax rebills by attaching supporting documentation. Manage collections on designated portfolios, draft correspondence for past-due customers, and escalate non-responsive balances. Process monthly billing via email and vendor portals, remove weekly coverage reports, and participate in month-end close activities. Resolve billing disputes, tax variances, and cash posting corrections while maintaining accurate customer records in LeaseWave. Handle inbound and outbound communications professionally and establish individual and team goals. Requires moderate MS Outlook/Excel proficiency, an A/R background, and 4-5 years of collection experience.
Required Qualifications
- Moderate proficiency with MS Outlook
- Moderate proficiency with MS Excel
- Experience with online portals (ie SAP ARIBA)
- Accounts receivable background
- Must have strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Minimum of 4-5 years of collection/customer service experience
- Must have problem solving and decision-making abilities, including the ability to identify trends and relationships within accounting and/or lease data
- Must be highly motivated individual with high level of initiative and an attitude of willingness
- Must be team player willing to assist others at all levels of the organization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide superior customer service and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and work autonomously or with a team
- Ability to communicate effectively on a one-on-one basis or in group setting
Desired Qualifications
- Leasing or other finance industry experience a plus
- B.S. in Accounting/Finance preferred
