Job Summary
Execute assigned maintenance tasks including removals, installations, cleaning, servicing, and basic troubleshooting under close supervision. Follow written task cards, technical manuals, and work instructions precisely while assisting higher-level mechanics with inspections, repairs, and system checks. Document all work performed in accordance with company, customer, and FAA standards, and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized condition. Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality requirements while participating in on-the-job training to develop technical proficiency. Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
- 0–2 years of aircraft maintenance experience (military or civilian)
- Basic knowledge of aircraft systems and standard practices
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
- Ability to read and interpret tech manuals
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

- Must be able to travel at relatively short notice for short periods
- Must be able to use ladders, stands, lifts, etc. and be able to work on all areas of aircraft
- Physical exertion: pulling, bending, pushing, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting / carrying of containers, equipment, etc. up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds
