Job Summary
Conduct repairs and perform scheduled maintenance on aircraft, including diagnosing mechanical or electrical problems and replacing defective parts using hand or power tools. Examine replacement parts for defects, read maintenance manuals to identify repair procedures, and test components with diagnostic equipment. Inspect completed work to ensure performance standards, keep records of all maintenance and repair activities, and clean the shop as required. Ensure compliance with local, state, accreditation, and federal regulations while maintaining the accuracy and security of campus files. Work weekends when necessary and be willing to travel on short notice for conferences or trainings that may require overnight stays.
Required Qualifications
- A&P certification
- One plus years' experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to interact in a pleasant and professional manner with all types of people
