Job Summary
Inspect and repair aircraft, components, and systems per FAA regulations, OEM manuals, and Axxeum's Part 145 RSQCM. Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft systems including instrumentation, avionics, landing gear, engines, and auxiliary power units. Provide guidance to lower-level technicians on repair techniques and procedures while preparing evaluations, special reports, and maintenance records. Maintain and update technical manuals, service bulletins, and parts books; coordinate ordering, shipping, and receiving of parts and tools. Clean aircraft interiors and exteriors and ensure all maintenance is documented correctly. Perform other tasks as needed. Work Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm, with potential hour adjustments during surges. International travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of experience in rotary wing maintenance, civil and or military
- Aviation mechanic certificate with Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) ratings
- Experience returning aircraft to service IAW part 43 using OEM logbooks or aftermarket maintenance software
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a part 145 Repair Station
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be capable of passing a drug screen
- Subject to random drug tests under Axxeum's Air Carrier and Air Agency Certificate
- Working knowledge of aviation publications including electronic manuals, drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics
- Ability to communicate using clear, concise, and accurate English; both verbal and written are required
- Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner
- Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull/move items frequently over 20 pounds
- Occasionally required to lift/carry/push/pull/move heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to adapt to environments listed (aircraft hangar, warehouse setting, office setting and/or outdoors)
- Must be able to work comfortably outdoors
- May be exposed to hot/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions
- Must demonstrate positive, polite, and professional behavior always when dealing with co-workers, customers, and all levels of management
Desired Qualifications
- MD 500 experience
- Inspection Authorization
- Avionics installation and troubleshooting experience including autopilots, GPS, Radios, and communication equipment
- Experience performing with 411 and 91.413 inspections
- Technical or Military School
- May be asked to perform Hazardous Flight duties as crewmember/non-crewmember/crew chief
