Job Summary
Build and maintain fly-by-wire aircraft according to aviation standards using shop and calibrated tooling, including torque wrenches, crimping, and stripping tools. Perform developmental, experimental, and production maintenance, repair, modification, installation, and testing tasks while providing direction as needed. Marshall, charge, preflight, and maintain aircraft to ensure readiness for daily flight test operations by minimizing downtime and maximizing availability. Help create and carry out Flight Test maintenance policies and procedures, including 5s, FOD, work orders, and tool control. Follow safety policies under the Archers Safety Management System and provide status updates to the Flight Test Maintenance Manager. Offer input on the design and fabrication of novel air vehicles regarding repairability and maintainability. Maintain all FAA-regulated and manufacturer-recommended aircraft records.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A&P license
- 2+ years of experience as an A&P Mechanic
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems and how they operate
- Proficiency with a variety of tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
