Job Summary
Perform all assigned maintenance duties including routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems. Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to interpret specifications, then remove defective parts and install replacements while testing systems. Ensure documentation remains current with open discrepancies and submit work orders accurately. Tow and park aircraft, operate necessary power tools, and maintain a clean working environment. Maintain a professional demeanor while adhering to FAA requirements and safety standards. Work under time pressure to maintain flight schedules, often in all weather elements, while handling physical demands such as lifting over 70 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must hold a current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) with no history of infractions
- Knowledge and Understanding of the English Language
- Ability to legally operate a motorized vehicle
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Must possess the ability to stand
- Must possess the ability to lie down
- Must possess the ability to kneel
- Must possess the ability to climb stairs, scaffolds or ladders
- Must possess the ability to frequently lift, pull, and hold objects weighing more than 70 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of previous line maintenance experience preferred, not Required
- Experience and/or training on at least two commercial aircraft types, (A319, A320, A321, and/or B737, B767, B777 & E190 aircraft preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Capability to handle weather extremes
