Job Summary
Fabricate, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify aircraft airframe systems including fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical/avionics, engine, and structure components. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations, inspections, repairs, and Airworthiness directives while adhering to technical manuals and standards. Conduct thorough inspections to identify issues, execute line maintenance functions for preflight, post-flight, launch, and recovery, and interpret electrical schematics for avionics installation. Operate power tools, ground handling equipment, and work in confined spaces or heights exceeding 25 feet as required. Partner with Engineering to solve design problems and reduce defects. Maintain aircraft in accordance with work instructions and log all maintenance in the Aircraft Maintenance Discrepancy Log. Demonstrate Subject Matter Expert capabilities to support rapid aerospace R&D and new project development.
Required Qualifications
- A&P License
- 5+ years' experience in aircraft systems troubleshooting, fabrication, installation and maintenance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Physically able to handle items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

- 5+ years' experience in aircraft systems troubleshooting, fabrication, installation and maintenance preferred

- Electrical / Avionics systems and components
- Engine systems and components
- Airframe and aircraft structures
- Experience with line maintenance functions to include preflight, post flight, launch, and recovery of aircraft
- Experience fabricating, maintaining, replacing, or modifying aircraft structure or sub-systems such as Sheetmetal experience; bending, riveting, fasteners, treatment of metal, or changing large LRU's & subs system components such as flight control systems, landing gear systems, pneumatic systems, etc.
- Strong understanding and Discipling in FOD and tool control
- Detail oriented – strong attention to detail
- Ability to solve problems and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to work independently when needed, responsible, take the initiative to help train/mentor direct team members
- IA (Preferred but not required)
- Flight line or flight test experience (Preferred)
- Level II ($38.50-$61.88): High school diploma or equivalency certificate and 5-10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, systems fabrication, installation
