Job Summary

Monitor and control remote operation of subsea wells and production systems, performing emergency corrective actions as required. Operate, maintain, and repair all facility equipment, quarters, and process equipment from the wellhead to the sales line daily. Maintain appropriate records, submit reports, and assist with additional projects as requested by the supervisor. Ensure compliance with 30 CFR operating limits and safety regulations while maintaining a clean work environment. Work a 21x21 schedule from a terminal in Houma, LA, with no sponsorship available.

Required Qualifications

  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-3 years of offshore production operating experience
  • Must be able to monitor and control the remote operation of the subsea wells and production systems
  • Must be able to perform emergency corrective action as required
  • Must be able to operate in compliance with 30 CFR operating limits, regulations, standards, procedures and codes
  • Must be able to maintain appropriate records and documents and submit reports as required
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment to monitor, log, resolve, and escalate operation and safety issues
  • Must be able to maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
  • Must be able to actively assist with additional projects as required or requested by supervisor
  • Must be able to operate, maintain and repair all facility equipment, quarters and activities on a daily basis
  • Must be able to operate, monitor, test, and maintain all process equipment and safety devices from the wellhead to the sales line
  • Must be able to monitor the performance of personnel, wells and production equipment to maximize recovery
  • Must be able to calculate daily rates, complete well testing, and report production information
  • Must be able to determine gravity of condensate and salinity of water
  • Must be able to troubleshoot to deliver the maximum sales quality and quantity of gas, oil and/or condensate to sales line
  • Must be able to discharge produced water containing less than 29 ppm hydrocarbons overboard within the capabilities of the equipment

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • 4-8 years' offshore production operating experience
  • Experience controlling subsea wells
