A Little Time, A Lot of Heart! Community Social Volunteering

Conduct weekly one-hour visits to a client between 10am and 4pm on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday to provide companionship through conversation, shared interests, and discussion of television, family, and life experiences. Engage in friendly chat over a cuppa to reduce social isolation and brighten the client's day. Maintain a friendly demeanor and appreciate cultural nuances given the client's Arabic and English language abilities. This role supports the Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme, funded by the Australian Government, helping elderly people maintain independence and feel less isolated within their local community.
