Job Summary
The Class A Lineman will construct, maintain, and repair energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems, work on energized lines, lead crew members in absence of the Employee in Charge, train apprentices and groundmen, install and repair lines, and perform live-line work using glove/hot-stick techniques. Requires climbing various structures, operating bucket trucks and related equipment, and working outdoors in varied conditions. Travel to out-of-state locations and participate in outages, storms, and emergency callouts is expected. A CDL and five years of overhead line experience are required, along with the ability to travel on short notice and work outside normal hours. Adheres to safety protocols and conducts pre-job and tailgate safety briefings.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of recent overhead line experience
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Willing to travel long distances on short notice
- Willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime
- Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Work for extended periods at job locations, including out-of-state assignments
- Ability to climb different structures and work at heights
