A Lineman - Overhead (Jefferson EMC)

Job Summary
Conduct new construction, maintain, and repair energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems, including installing poles, insulators, and conductors. Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge, conducting pre-job and tailgate safety briefings. Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques, troubleshooting faults while adhering to strict safety protocols and PPE standards. Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, and tensioners to work at heights, in confined spaces, and near energized equipment. Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen. Available for outages, storms, and emergencies on an on-call rotation, including weekend, holiday, and overtime work. Willing to travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of recent overhead line experience
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Willing to travel long distances on short notice
- Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime
