Job Summary
Construct and repair electrical overhead distribution systems, including installing poles, insulators, conductors, and performing live-line work with hot-stick techniques. Lead crew members by conducting safety briefings and mentoring apprentices while operating bucket trucks and tensioners. Perform new construction and maintenance on energized and de-energized lines, climbing structures and working at heights in varying weather conditions. Available for outages, storms, and emergency callouts with a requirement to travel out-of-state on short notice. Requires five years of recent overhead line experience, a CDL, and willingness to work extended hours including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years of recent overhead line experience
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Willing to travel long distances on short notice
- Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime
- Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation
